Download Fsx Sp1 Free
I just have installed Windows 8 and then flight Simulator x. I downloaded Sp2 of Flight Simulator. When I tried to install, I was told that SP1 is a prerequisite. Installation of SP 2 therefore not posssible.
I tried to download SP1 of Flight Simulator (english and german). Cannot be downloaded showed up.
Your questions:
Have you recently made changes to your System?
Yes. I installed Windows 8 four days ago. The installation options for keeping old programs and/or data failed to work. So I had to do a very clean install. All personal data and all programs were therefore dropped.
I installed FSX from DVD.
I was able to download Service Pack 2.
I was unable to download Service Pack 1. Service Pack 1 must be installed first. That is checked by the installation program when trying to install Service Pack 2. The install lof Service Pack 2 failed.
My problem has nothing to do with compatility.
I have done a clean start on my brandnew Windows eight. The Problem still exists.
None of the download-possibilities (several languages) offered by your link works.
I think somebody has done a Server cleanup and found, that SP1 is no longer required when SP2 is available and erronously has removed SP1 from the server. That is not true for FSX. SP1 is still required. SP1 is still required.
Please have Microsoft to make availe again the several SP1 Service packs.
Btw: FSX without service packs runs fine on Windows 8. But I think, FSX would run much better with service packs installed.
Please excuse my wording. My mother tongue is german. And I am looking especially for the german version. Thank you for your help.
